In the last Century people used to say that when one door closes another one will open up for you. But within this inter-connected, transparent world of networks and running systems, installed to avoid a permanent blocking, often the old door-mechanisms won´t support your fame and fortune on the market. Many doors vanished. Much more this “running” functions like an assembly line these days.
Passing you on. Passing your goal on. Passing your future on. Acting single-handedly isn´t King once you´re moving on the basic level, trying to get ahead.
All this shows the same effect as if others would close the next door in front of you! There´s no door.
And suddenly you face yourself in a situation where you can only act as a strategist. And strategists work on the next step without any process to follow or simply walk through. Easy going is absent. So, what´s to do if you spot yourself on this position?
Know your long-term breath and be a great decision maker! You may ask now: “What does it take from here – to get over there?” …. find the answers right here:
- Judgement ability – requires experience: passive and active
- Complex thinking – ability to see the big picture: set goals
- Knowing your personal strategic direction: will you act as a giver, a taker or a matcher?
My next blog-posts will be about these 3 steps to help you get out of a maze quickly – when no new doors will open up for you!
Today I start with the judgement ability:
Your current life experience is already made of 2 different kinds, no matter how young or old you are:
- the active experiencer
- the passive experiencer
1: Look a bit closer at yourself and make a short list of 3 items of WHAT you have experienced actively in your past. It´s everything from your idea to accomplishing the goal as a positive result, alone or in a group. Everything that you´ve accomplished is what you don´t FEAR. It rather did motivate you doing it actively.
2: Look a bit closer again and make another short list of 3 items of WHAT you have experienced passively in your past. It´s everything others have accomplished after you helped and supported them as a competent friend, mentor or leader.
These 6 results in front of you that you´ve experienced actively and passively is something that slowly built your confidence to judge situations and their outcome. It´s not books or stories from others, it´s only what you have supported and done in life. These results rely on your skills and talents.
WARNING! If you can´t write down 6 results, you seem to lack some relevant life experience. RESULT: Your judgement ability might not be very strong to be a confident long-term strategist. If you find yourself on this spot now, today, please make sure to add more experience! Make some quick decisions without any fear, about something which is attractive to do. Become more self-confident to strengthen your judgement ability.
BE A DECISION MAKER. BECOME OUTSTANDING.
