In my last post I discussed the opportunity to start writing down your top 3 – 5 decision-alternatives on a big piece of paper to have a great “supporter” for choosing the ideal one for your current situation. With a decision you plan to get to or reach the next goal or level.
Today, you are standing in front of the 3 or 4 alternatives on each paper which you hung-up last Wednesday for figuring out which one “speaks” most to you when passing by. Viewing the various alternatives and viewing their consequences and trade offs is different than just thinking about it abstractly. When you see at least the words of your trade offs and you view the time limit of consequences, you get the “feeling” if you can manage “this one” right now or whether the other alternative works better to reach the goal.
Not every BEST “looking” alternative is made for you to conquer your goal.
You live under certain circumstances and conditions, mentally. You show reactions to a new or sudden burden or you don´t. It could be temporal or monetary. If you deal well with setbacks you are allowed to go on faster in life, yes. And you may choose the best alternative which will be the fastes. But be fair! When you decide for an alternative of an important long-term goal think of a longer-lasting path to get there. Not the longest and slowest but think about it as an ideal path, not the most effective or efficient path.
Things last longer in life when you grow into it.
You may say: “I work myself into the situation.” Attention, in case you think about “jumping” into a new situation. Your chosen path is your leader. You need to follow it, risky or not – please choose wisely –
BE A DECISION MAKER. BECOME OUTSTANDING.
