Decision Making and Emotions.
Ever thought about it?
Emotions are those hidden blockers which appear suddenly, coming from the past! It is this “bad gut feeling” due to negative experiences we´ve made. And if we did not add some positive emotion on top afterwards, which can overwrite the old “imprint”, believe me – we tend to actively shy away for new and better decisions in life. We react “wrong”. We might reject a good situation.
There´s one critical ingredient coming with it: we feel conflicted. It is a short-term pressure and turns into a political wrangling which might cloud our mind. It´s short-term emotion, a new enemy when it comes to decision making. Our feelings churn when we have to make a difficult decision.
We tend to kick-up dust so we can´t see forward. We change our minds from day to day. We agonize about our circumstances. And right then, we mostly need perspective!
Get back to a clear perspective! Think of the “successor method” (how would she/he decide ?) or the pros and cons list which might allow some emotion to single details. Get back to the facts! Get back to the goal! Get back to perspective!
BE A DECISION MAKER. BECOME OUTSTANDING.
