Linked Decisions

When you connect the cable of a device to the plug socket you make the available electricity run.  Your device will be ready for whatever it is made for.   What did you just do?  You linked two things together to make both passive sources run actively together.  You decided actively for the next step in your process and this maintenance made it a success.

HOW TO deciding shows what to connect and link best to make things run smooth in your business.  You have the power over linking A with B and as a result make C run and maybe as next: add D to it.  That´s it.  The listed consequences between A, B and C display some necessary overview of the linked decisions.  Linked decisions are complex and as Hammond/Keeney/ Raiffa write in their book “smart choices”, linked decisions have a relationship to its original decision.  It´s like the soil, the seed and the plant as a result when adding water and sunshine.

Decisions own a desire- and time factor:  they can be years apart or they can be minutes apart.  Both factors trigger us to decide, sooner or later, probably depending on the relevant water and sunshine.

Each decision cuts some time off of your future or adds more time to it.  It can shorten your decision making path to reach the goal or will make it longer.  View this time factor like a product or one of your services to understand the influence and urgency.  Decisions and linked decisions are connected to our potential time and we boost them by our desire.
