In my last blog-post I gave you my idea of why some deciders start from the negative Level 1 while some others start from Level 2, which I put in the upper, positive area of a co-ordinate plane.
Now let me remove some potential pressure if you found yourself in this lower area which I marked as negative JUST BECAUSE it means you and also I were passive deciders for quite a while. We rarely notice this if we have strong leaders around in life. But if you are the kid which was allowed to do her own decisions from early age on – hey, be sure that their decision making was restricted!
…..which is the reason why I placed the decision making line (because we continue straight forward) of a 10 year old on both sides exactly mirror-inverted:
It doesn´t matter how much you decide passively or actively by numbers at all, fact is some of us grow up with the “decider identity” right from the beginning (Level 2) while others have to fight themselves up from Level 1 to this surface! And on the way up you and they have to learn and apply to quit being a follower for turning into a self-leader.
It takes more time for Level 1 people to become a strong decider than it takes for Level 2 deciders. That´s the reason why I put a certain space between both 20 year olds, separated by the “t” (time)line. Next time I´ll explain the benefits from being “late”!
Again, yes it differs for each of us how long it takes in years to become a strong decider and mainly it´s pain or situation relevant if we wake up at all – or not. Both factors drive us for change! And change only starts with us. Always. ….. t.b.c.
BE A DECISION MAKER. BECOME OUTSTANDING.
