Informative Comparisons
This is my last Blog-post of the special Decider Soft Skills you should have developed!
Special Soft Skills help make Decisions faster, because you´re overall prepared, you´re ready to do it from one moment to the other to change the current situation. For a better.
The last two soft skills are:
- be an information-exchanger
- be an actual-theoretical comparison thinker
If you create(d) or live in a trustful feedback culture and environment, then you are moving within a team which is regularily exchanging information. I speak “relevant” information for decisions! That´s the most important soft skill for being able to make smart and fast decisions. Be sure you exchange relevant information the minute they come in. Forward what someone else needs!
This can be: a new process-status, a date, a name, a company´s name, a correction…..
Decision makers solve problems, they solve challenges, the change a status which got stock, they look for more efficiency to not waste any resources. Wasting resources is similar to throwing CASH/money out of the window. Therefore you need to check the current status, do your homework, ask the team to deliver the numbers.
Then set a goal of where you want to end at and in what time. That´s the theoretical spot, the “wish” which you all want to reach. On the way to get there you need to compare: how much did change by today? How fast or slow are we going? Is it okay for the schedule? Are we in time? ….. then go on in that pace.
You can compare the results of the on-going weekly or monthly, depending on the goal and the time-frame you´re setting. Be realistic! Never set goals you can´t reach neither at all by numbers nor by a time span which is simply TOO short. Be fair!
Success becomes success! It is made.
It is made when the process (path) is planned, set and followed realistically. Fact.
BE A DECISION MAKER. BECOME OUTSTANDING.
