“I always followed the rules”
WHAT, IF you always followed the rules and…. suddenly need and want to decide on your own?
This is a scenario which forces you to leave the status quo, the land you´re familiar with for years and ages maybe, and to enter new land like an unprepared and unexperienced pioneer.
Will you lack the necessary trust? YES. In the beginning.
Will you lack the well known security? YES. In the beginning.
Now, what? I suggest what we suggest to everyone who is a beginner: start small. Train your experience with small steps. Calculate well to start with small risks! Why? Gather first successes. A success-feeling is what you need to build the trust in yourself and in the circumstances. Trust allows you to go on and to gather more experience.
What does it mean to “start small”?
It´s this: every decision you take carries the risk to lose something. Either time or money. Actually it´s both, yes. And what do you gain? A learn-effect and experience of what works and what won´t work! We all pay a price for experimenting. And either way you pay for a great training, coaching or seminar or you pay with time or money for your own “tries with error”. The good thing is you never leave the new pioneer stage with nothing in your hands. Never! You always receive something to go on with.
Actually everyone who starts deciding to reach a goal slowly “builds” their own process to eventually reach what she or he wants to achieve. Deciding is getting back to acting sinle-handedly! And this is how you get to the point of dreaming and having visions you want to reach and achieve in life.
The best example was Christoph Columbus! He decided to believe that the world isn´t flat and when he´d sail away from Spain, that he´d reach a new continent, hoping to reach China. It wasn´t a 100 % insecure thing he was after. But he sailed away with the huge risk to probably never come back. He had no idea how long it takes, there was no proof that it´s possible when going West and he couldn´t ask anybody about some hard facts. He couldn´t even calculate realistically how much food and water the whole crew will need. Can you imagine the RISK he took on? But for him it wasn´t a risk, he was a typical pioneer with a strong vision.
…..and you?
Do you still follow the rules?
BE A DECISION MAKER. BECOME OUTSTANDING.
