How Frustrating is it?
Imagine these 3 scenarios:
You want to move-on but you can´t find THE next Door!
You found THE Door, locked, and there is no key for opening!
You put a key into the door-lock but THE Door doesn´t open for you!
What´s WRONG?
Imagine that your Decision Making Ability or Competence, no – let´s rather call it your “Decision Making Authority” has the shape of a regular door-key. In fact, it is a key!
Imagine that Deciding is exactly like opening a closed door and walking through it. Both is something you experience quite often in your life, right? I guess you needn´t stretch your imagination for this inner picture or scenario….
Now let´s put some information on both pictures, on the Door and onto the Key!
Just for you to fill the abstract picture I just created for you.
On the door you might print or stick the letters “Goal” or “Challenge”!
HINT – HINT: please try to avoid the letters “problem” because you might want to avoid walking through this closed door.
The key you´re looking for should have the label “Decision Making Authority” and that includes as follows:
Head of key =
Method Competence/Authority
Social Competence/Authority and
Personality
key bit =
Issue Expertise
Merit/Worth
Information & Knowledge
How does it feel for you, this new picture? Do you get to see how DECIDING is involved in your daily life? Can you also imagine that you can improve this ability or authority, now, with the information and this picture in front of your inner eye?
As a take-away for today, keep this picture with you!
Anytime you stop to make a conscious decision in this coming week, think of the door in front of you and the key in your hand, which you´re using. Where does the door lead you to? How solid is your key when turning it? Does it feel differently solid for different decisions? If so, then – what´s missing? A bit of Method Authority? Some personality?
In my up-coming blog-posts I come back with exactly this topic to hand out even more information and to get this picture clearer for you. See you then!
BE A DECISION MAKER. BE OUTSTANDING.
