Highly Disciplined New Situations?
It´s just a few weeks ago that I wrote my Blog-post about the Decider Soft Skills: Where to purchase provigil in Buffalo
In the list of extra skills I mention the ability and quality to be able to “jump into new situations” and to be “highly disciplined” when it comes to tough decision-making. If you ask yourself now: “WHY this?” …… then keep-on reading to get a great part of the answer:
When life forces us to JUMP INTO A NEW SITUATION – ad hoc – without a warning of what will happen next, no training to adopt easily, no lines to say the right things quick to get control over it, no script to read and no director who puts everything in place so that you can handle it fast, then we have to be pretty flexible and resilient to stand such a situation! ….. right? We need to be focused on why it changed to keep a little or much control over it.
Q.: when have you been the last time in such an ad hoc situation which was really hard to handle and forced you to make a quick decision, instead of reacting to it? Do you remember? Think about it…..
What I use for my mental support is honesty and truth about the scene, both, related to the law and to my personal values. This is how I start my self-communication before I say a word.
I do stay in line!
Okay, I try to by keeping the focus to not break the law but maybe break a rule and get in trouble, for getting ahead. Whatever method you use to keep the control, use it –
An accident is such a moment, like a car accident which we all experience at least once in our life. That´s a typical ad hoc situation in which we´re forced to “jump in” and stay. We cannot run away from it! Okay, we shouldn´t.
Or if we run into “a scene” of someone else, like a weird life-production which could be a robbery or somebody next to us suddenly faints at our feet. It´s the situation when we arrive at the hotel at night and the room isn´t available or is double-booked. It´s the moment in the morning when you have an important appointment and the motor of your car doesn´t start, you´ll be late! What is your decision?
Imagine a situation similar to being in summer for weeks and when getting outside your frontdoor you suddenly face winter with lot of snow! That´s what I mean: from 1 second to the other the scene changed without giving us a warning…..
FACT: the more ad hoc situations you´ve mastered the better you deal with such moments which we sometimes need to handle in life! The better you solve the ad hoc problem. It´s those tough decision challenges which life suddenly throws at us! And our first thoughts and self-communcation becomes a big part of it.
What about DISCIPLINE
and decision-making?
When it comes to the consequences of a decision alternative, we do need to be disciplined. Bad consequences should be mastered to not increase. Bad shouldn´t get worse! Therefore be highly disciplined.
Discipline also helps meeting the deadline! We have to master our schedule and work on the single items to be ready when time or the boss asks us for. Discipline is our best friend
and best collaborator! It functions like an invisible shield which leads you straight towards your goal. Unfortunately it´s no real person but we should treat discipline like a person!
That guy or woman will give us all we want! Discipline becomes a treasure
when it comes to reaching goals. ….. did you ever thought about it from THIS perspective?
BE A DECISION MAKER. BE OUTSTANDING.
