Sorry for being a bit absent this summer – it´s been quite a while that I was posting an article for you!
I started some successful private projects, and now I am back. In the past months I chose topics for you which are related to the active process of Decision Making.
Today, I turn into the direction of WHY it´s good to train ourselves making more decisions than others. If you´re active in life, always heading forward rather than resting, you´ll be facing more decision situations than others. Does it speak to you?
Let´s have a quick look at why we will face decision situations in life:
Our life in the Western world is quite organized and actions are placed into running processes. Every time we find ourself in a running process, either in private- and business life, things are organized in a way that we needn´t ask ourselves how to go-on, what to do next and whom to ask for information. Help is there, we just need to go for it and take it. We function.
Now imagine or remember the situation that occurs suddenly when something unexpected appears in front of you. This new situation suddenly “attacks” either: your budget, the available time span, a great idea you were just following or the well running partnership.
Whatever appears, it now blocks your running system. What do you need to do? Figure out a quick solution! How do you approach to this potential solution? Yes, you have to take a decision.
This asks for gathering relevant information! Remember the MINT-formular I talk about in one of my video clips on my Youtube chanel: MINT formula to make quick decisions. It´s so supportive.
What of these 4 aspects can wait? What´s there in the process that shouldn´t be damaged? What can be at risk now? Do I need to take care of the budget? Do I have to split some of my $$ for this new opportunity? Should I post-pone “this” to not risk the time span I was calculating when starting this project? Will this decision harm one of my partners? Will I lose a great personality?
Think it through –
Of course you know this procedure, when you´re one of my readers – so let me add another brick to this platform to make you see more than you do right now. Let me lift you a bit higher –
– here´s what decision makers will gain in the long run:
YOU will get to KNOW YOURSELF!
For reaching the goal of self-development always add the brick of decision making. We make good decisions and we make bad decisions in life. Every time we get a result in life we will understand why it went OK and why it went totally wrong:
- Deciding is dividing
- Deciding is focussing
- Deciding is concentrating
We automatically get to know ourselves better and we learn things about other people. Deciding makes us understand how life functions around us and where there is a trend to follow. Deciding is orientation in life. Again, any time we get a result we will know what´s good for us and what´s not good for us. Reaching results make us see who we are and who is around us. It makes us see who´s in our team, in our partnership(s), our family and in the neighbourhood. We REALIZE more and more WHO we are.
Having a clear sight of WHERE we are helps us reducing the potential stress-level we face from time to time. This helps us having more energy for concentrating on new things. In the end, we stay highly motivated…..
….isn´t that a respectful reason for becoming a good decision maker? Well, you may think about it.
BE A DECISION MAKER. BECOME OUTSTANDING.
