Decisions Don´t Matter!
Actually, the decisions don´t matter! We have to take them – we have to make them. We have to live with the results, which we calculate. What matters most is the ambitious goal TO GET where we want to be in the end. The result we want is what matters most.
So why do we decide? To move one step ahead! A decision is an activator.
We can calculate a lot of alternatives, we can think effective to decide for the most suitable alternative, and then we might act efficient, but we always have to include costs and a time frame. No decision is for free. And they don´t matter the moment we know we have to make corrections anyway! A correction is another step with another decision and we live in a complex world. Adjustments aren´t always foreseeable but they´re managable and they´re always there.
- What matters is strong self-confidence.
- What matters is experience.
- What matters is an environment that is well informed and will act for the favour of the goal.
- What matters is openness and transparency.
Open doors allow each decision to walk right through! Compare a communicated decision with a clear openness to a “door steward” who holds the door open – for a new decision. He is self-confident because he is not surprised. He will close the door right after the decision is made and inside. It´s a collaborative act! We need to adjust the decisions to the complexity we will face.
Our decisions are breaking down the complexity into simple steps. Add openness, communicate it and then think of the nie, friendly door steward you suddenly created!
BE A DECISION MAKER. BE OUTSTANDING.
