Decision-Making Authority
POWER is connected to each decision-making authority. Always. Let me take a virtual magnifying glass to check out both words via WikiPedia:
POWER =
Power in International Relations is defined in several different ways. Political scientists, historians, and practitioners of international relations (diplomats) have used the following concepts of political power:
- Power as a goal of states or leaders;
- Power as a measure of influence or control over outcomes, events, actors and issues;
- Power as reflecting victory in conflict and the attainment of security;
- Power as control over resources and capabilities;
- Power as status, which some states or actors possess and other do not.
DECISIONS =
Decision making (decision from Latin decidere “to decide, determine,” literally “to cut off,” from de- “off” and caedere “to cut”) can be regarded as the mental processes (cognitive process) resulting in the selection of a course of action among several alternative scenarios. Every decision making process produces a final choice.[1] The output can be an action or an opinion of choice.
AUTHORITY =
The word authority is derived from the Latin word auctoritas, meaning invention, advice, opinion, influence, or command. In English, the word authority can be used to mean power given by the state (in the form of Members of Parliament, Judges, Police Officers, etc.) or by academic knowledge of an area (someone can be an authority on a subject).
That´s reality. The minute you have the power to decide with others to win and start a project you use power over the lives of others, their future, their up-front decisions & each consequences and once you do, your power is gone within that minute. You give power away in fractions to everyone who´s involved. Power is timeless for an individual. It´s like a breath to get things alive.
What follows depends on the authority of the whole decision process. It´s everybodies consequences, the wins and losses of their decisions and choices. That mixture of everybodies goals and your decision in that minute you interfere stands out like a New York high tower – it will be seen. People notice a big decision like a huge architecture. It´s visible far beyond the border of your country because it is always somehow effecting others as well. We´re all connected.
That´s power. That´s decision making authority.
BE A DECISION MAKER. BECOME OUTSTANDING.
