Do you sometimes wonder HOW TO decide in general?
When it´s not about something special but simply about your decision making habit?
Here´s how you can handle and correct it: start prioritizing!
What you need for a good start is good research and the missing information about your open issues and tasks. Prioritizing your daily agenda is the first step to correct and handle your decision making habits. When prioritizing you know how long things will take, what´s still missing and how much it may cost you before you are finished.
This is how you prioritize: the core is the meaning of cost-saving!
Cost-saving itself means: save either time or money! When you start to prioritize you plan to save time firsthand. Time-saving actions allow to work efficiently. As a result you have more spare time left and on top you´re more relaxed than others who don´t act organized due to a clear decision making habit.
IMPORTANCE is the rule of prioritizing because the important tasks seem to have the habit to grow bigger and burden you more with every day you ignore them. In detail: when you ignore an important task its consequences will grow (other people are connected to it) and in the end it´s harder to handle because it takes longer. Time is money, and if things take longer you add cost to your life. Deciding is about cost saving!
An easy to follow example:
In the office you use a certain form any time a new local customer signs up. Lately you notice some insecurities and questions from your potential customers. The form seems to lack some clarity – you have to think about the answers to give the extra information. You noticed this happens more often! For some time by now you gave away your precious time – and this goes on for as long as you don´t improve the form. This is no cost-saving decision habit nor a cost-saving action.
SOLUTION: improve the form the moment you notice it happens permanently (daily or weekly). As soon as you notice consciously that something takes away too much of your time, again and again, you should decide to eliminate this thief. Prioritize what blocks you most and decide to take it out of your way. Think in a cost-saving way!
On the other side you have to direct a long-term project which needs a daily review. To be efficient and to act in an cost-saving manner you should find the ideal time of the day where you either are concentrated or when you best reach the involved people of the project who have to make their own decisions which also will affect your work. The time you spent with working on the project should be as short as possible.
SOLUTION: connect with other people habits to work efficiently! This way it´s fun! Find out when they´re reachable and follow the ranking of whom to get in touch first. That´s priorization and cost-saving action.
BE A DECISION MAKER. BECOME OUTSTANDING.
