Just today I shot a new video clip about WHY I am probably YOUR ideal trainer and consultant for the next decision process.
And yes, it also took me to shoot this video to simply understand that deciders need some special Soft Skills to become and be a confident decider! It´s up to some special Soft Skills which support every decision process, either for the planned schedule or for its efficiency –
WHAT does it mean for you when you plan to set-up a decision process, involving various team members who are important for the go-on?
You should just choose those team members who carry most of the following Soft Skills and who already implement them at work.
My LIST of special SOFT SKILLS a confident decider should offer:
- be truthful
- work on schedule
- take ad hoc problems/challenges
- jumping into new situations
- highly disciplined
- high resilience
- process-acting and -thinking
- actual-theoretical-comparison thinker
If your team offers members who already carry such skills, hey – be happy! It´s hard for people to add new skills on top within a short time span. It takes a disciplined training to develop new skills and that means: practice, practice and ……. practice again.
If you plan a broad decision process with a team soon, make sure you do not add people with the following great skills: negotiating and demanding.
These 2 Soft Skills aren´t relevant during a decision process. Give those guys a different task during the tough decision time – unless they carry enough of the above listed skills and control their demanding and negotiating abilities.
In my next post I´ll explain WHY those Solft Skills are relevant when making decisions – stay tuned –
BE A DECISION MAKER. BE OUTSTANDING.
