What is WRONG anyway?
Whatever we think is derivable makes us think is going to happen – when we decide for something. If things go wrong afterwards, because the result is not the result which was potentially possible (derivable) then we think of wrong decision making.
Cross out the idea that you made a wrong decision when things went “wrong”!
Here´s WHY: Regret consumes energy and creates emotional stress! Now imagine you´re one of those who regret wrong decisions for the rest of their lives…. it is no good idea because this weakens the immune system, and that sure leads to health trouble.
Instead, learn how to deal with wrong decisions: re-construct the situation and find the rational explanation. You will find it! External circumstances may lead your decision result into another direction and away from you. The moment you decide for something is exactly when you think it is going to be OKAY! Handling decisions we made with a gut feeling works best with this method. We have a chance to forgive ourselves.
Daniel Gilbert (decision scientist & psychologist from Harvard) points out that people tend to self-deception: when purchasing a car which wasn´t the best idea afterwards you bought it, you suddenly find the little things which bring out advantages (which are actually less than the sudden big detriment you have to face). People tend to construct their own synthetic luck! It´s the so called mental immune system which works actively here.
But this mental immune system is facing a huge challenge: it has trouble dealing with regrets when we did not decide for something in life! It almost can´t handle this miss out and nurtures the regret feeling.
Mark it off!
BE A DECISION MAKER. BE OUTSTANDING.
