… IT`S TIME TO CHANGE YOUR ORGANIZATION
Alert! I actually planned to write about something else today but the news are spread everywhere – alert! The career ladder which ruled jobs and careers over ages mostly in strong hierarchy organizations is dead: R.I.P.
It flips now and the new pattern which shows up rather looks like a mosaic career – it´s single puzzle pieces. Time for change….. and as so often once we went too far ahead on the one-way-road, in the end we must hit the wall!
A new German study by “von Rundstedt” came to the same result as international studies already tweet: The Leadership level will change + careers will change –> to be clear: it will be different than before. Fact!
Here´s why: employees must become more and more flexible and the typical hierarchy will flatten out. That cuts the sum of necessary and relevant leaders in each company(!). As I mentioned before: self-leadership is a big future factor. Taylor-made careers won´t be the attractive trigger for new employees anymore when entering a company. The career ladder fell off the wall or tipped over when trying to reach the economic heaven….
The technical alteration asks permanently for new organizational models of collaboration. This causes new competence-development, with economic networks.
Future employees will choose their own options and it won´t be about a dependent career anymore. Values have changed! Getting the bonus of an Enterprise auto when starting in position “X” isn´t the ultimate dream nor a treasure anymore. The current picture of a personal career changes completely.
The identification of ones own talents & strengths is the new trigger of a career definition and employees only get there by a highly developed self-leadership style. That´s the future “boss” who leads you into your position – YOU. It´s not the advertisement anymore – proposal and request switched position: the active request is leading while looking for available proposals.
Only THE company with the matching proposal will be lucky to receive THE matching application. Choosing will be different on both sides, but choosing THE candidate will be easier. BE the candidate –
BE A DECISION MAKER. BECOME OUTSTANDING.
