DECISION MAKING, a Method to handle Change and Failure (!)
In my entire life, I was working very close with leaders. Through this experience of reliable collaboration I obtained strength and overview of complex situations which a strong decider needs. I love to take decisions! Decisions describe a free will, best case.
I was in the Corporate World for 26 years, learning and gathering extraordinary experience on the men´ stage in the German Automotive Business. You might think that such a complex structure in the Corporate World only allows some stiffness, but no – especically in bigger companies there is so much “life” that decisions lead the daily basis. And decisions need a direction, a goal, a mission statement.
As an employee I actively decided to get new tasks. I raised my hand more often compared to others. My decisions to increase my assignments also increased the departments profitability. I was often ready for improvement and change in the structured world and therefore added my B.A. College Degree in 2001. When the Dept. was split in 2005 it was my decision to change to the other side to challenge the market – we worked hard on getting back to being more productive and to install new functionality by moving a production-line close to the country and the customer. Long-termly, we didn´t make it. Challenging decisions were waiting for the Dept., the team and for me –
I chose to find a more fulfilling environment and tried to stay outside Automotive. Times got too tough on that stage and me, as a non-engineer, I was looking for a career instead of a simple survival. I focussed on the job-result-satisfaction to again increase a company´s profitability. Leaving the employee-stage was already challenging and felt risky due to no running network, but past changes taught me valuable leadership lessons.
My childhood dream of having my own business appeared in front of me: working and connecting globally, creating something valuable to improve the results of other people & companies, while traveling and learning, was on my list. It would just take a decision to give it a try!
This prompt thought suddenly mixed with another idea from 1975: become a writer. I loved reading and writing but I had no topic as a child. My teenage opportunities didn´t lead me into college to study nor did I ever enter supportive circles of people who work on their own business or company. Instead of having strong future plans a severe health issue with my bone structure blocked me during my whole childhood in various hospitals over longer periods of sole times. I experienced how doctors had to make decisions for my future in absolute chaos – without any information. Leadership was a strong guide during those chaotic times. There was no lightbeam to focus on. Chaos has no order. After 6 years and 5 tough bone-surgeries as a teenager in strong collaboration with my doctors, I turned out to be their most successful experiment. Proudly, I left the hospital-stage with a great disease career.
After school and my apprenticeship, a loud and screaming voice inside tempted me to leave my country and enter the world – the mixture of my faded wish w/ a coincidence and another strong decision + good preparation …. immediately opened the door for me to leave home for 1 year! It was on August 16th, a Saturday, that I entered American ground for the first time in my life. The spell never let go of this strong connection….
2010. A first trip to NYC…. To fulfill my dream of an own business, not knowing how to start and which biz-model to choose, I wrote my book and in parallel I learned everything about the Internet Biz, with the vision of creating and selling products, also online. The world had changed!
2011, 2012: signed-up for several seminars on the East- and West Coast of the United States: I met new interesting and influencial people and tried to connect. My book was self-published. To make it for a living, reality put me back into the Corporate World – this time as an external employee which didn´t allow me to identifiy with the 2 companies I worked for at all. DECISIONS, decisions….
To not feel trapped I started my first BLOG.
As a persistant self-leader now with a clear direction and ready for the needful job satisfaction, I filmed my first video-clips about the Decision Making Process. I explain tools, methods and ways to increase other peoples end result functionality.

MY PHILOSOPHY: riTA (the universal rule)
Ancient Veda says: ri means “to move”
Ancient Veda says: TA means “path” (Tao is the path of the King)
riTA means: “walk on your path”. I decided for TA Consulting to support businesses on the way of their decision making. Today I am driving international businesses to make smart decisions!
