Productivity effects the way we work and decide, plus it effects the way our machines are programmed to work alternatively for us. Machines are programmed for a 0-failure rate at their maximum of speed. What makes it so easy to evaluate the difference of both is that the machines result at the assembly line will be measured exactly by doing the math. It´s harder to do that with people.
Take my last 6 tips to be more productive –
16] Reinvent Yourself Each Year
Re-value yourself. Re-think your work processes caused by habits. Re-think how the company or single departments run and ask if this is the correct way. Will you find a few ways to change it?
17] Practice 0-Based Thinking
If you had to do it all over, yes – the complete business, would you get into “this” or “that” again? Would you implement this department in its actual structure and size? Question the jobs, the available career development (!) and the relationship at least annually. Then change it! Change unhappy running things and turn them happy again. Go for a stable structure.
18] Set Clear Posteriority
Too much to do, little time left. Check what´s not valuable. Put something down to pick something up. Stop something old to start something new. Say “no” here and there or more often.
19] Try To Keep Life In Balance
Yes, people say there is no real balance in life but we should always try to achieve it to avoid a higher unbalance. Have a personal life. Spend time in that life. Create time to have balance and always put people first.
20] Plan Every Project Carefully
It´s a multi-task activity with some steps to do and finish. Have clarity about the result of the project. It´s your goal! Assign responsibility for the dead-line. It must lead to a result. Inspect what you expect! The most vital part is….? Have a proper planning.
21] Be Intensly Action Oriented
Be in constant motion. Only action is action. Results get paid. Customer only pay for results. Move fast! Get done most of what´s possible. Do it now! You place your limits at yourself.
Productivity is HOW you get things done. Define that how! Look at yourself to find out if you have changed your style within the past. Did you ever adjust it to gain some speed?
BE A DECISION MAKER. BE OUTSTANDING.
