This month I wrote a blog-post about the re-engineering process. It´s a harsh and dramatic form of a companies improvement.
During a re-engineering process or -phase we sure undergo some trouble without a mentor or an experienced biz-partner to support us on this journey of re-structuring a company. Re-engineering is about minimizing or “going down” to the core competence and start new.
There is 1 aid to follow: the International ISO 9001 Norm. It functions as a manual for a biz-structure and it is also:
- This norm is a decision structure
- This norm is a decision reminder
- This norm is a decision tool
8.5.1: CIP = Continuous Improvement Process.
This part covers the main message to never stop changing by improving products and processes.
CHANGE is what life and business is about. This norm tries to help us to controll what we plan, do, check and try to reach by acting. But we can´t always reach 100 %, though we wish to reach 100 %. If we strictly follow a structure we shouldn´t fail.
What makes us fail is one or two of the 5 (or 7) Ms:
- MEN (okay, humans)
…. when there is a deviation during acting, measuring, checking or supervising what we do and produce. Following the structure of the Norm ISO 9001 takes a lot of concentration, deciding, a lot of organizing, a never ending cooperation and writing to follow many instructions. We need to build a permanent flow of responsible action with exact interfaces.
This is the 1 reason why we can´t fail in the long run!
How and in which environment do you work lately? Is it in a controlled and permanently corrected, running process? You may take a deeper look!
BE A DECISION MAKER. BECOME OUTSTANDING.
